About the job Accountant (Gozo)

Remuneration: Salary + Benefits
Main Duties:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Compiling financial reports, including budgets, balance sheets, and financial plans.
- Updating and reconciling general ledger entries.
- Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies through data analysis.
- Overseeing payroll administration.
- Ensuring statutory financial records are accurately maintained.
- Coordinating with auditors by providing necessary documentation.
- Managing EU and/or national funding applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Reviewing and implementing improvements to accounting processes for operational efficiency.
What skills do you need:
- ACCA qualification (completed or in the final stages) or an equivalent certification.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a semi-senior or managerial role (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in written and spoken Maltese and English.
- Clean police conduct certificate.
Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
