Our client specializes in heavy construction and marine construction, as well as tugboat transportation, and is a Connecticut-based (Hartford County) construction company that offers its valued clients cost-effective, efficient solutions founded on engineering expertise.

OVERVIEW - This position is for Field Engineers with experience in HEAVY civil or marine engineering, or heavy construction (bridge, etc.). Work is based out of the Plantsville office in Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports and logs.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and providing engineering solutions.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction equipment and materials.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Required:

  • 2-5 years experience working on DOT/ Heavy Civil Highway or Marine Construction projects.
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • EIT and someone looking to become a PM after they gain some experience.
