About the Role
Aequor Tech is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Clinical / Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team in East Elmhurst, NY. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about providing direct patient support while working collaboratively with nurses and physicians.
This is a full-time role with a standard 40-hour workweek. Schedules may include day, evening, or weekend shifts depending on facility needs.
Key Responsibilities

Take and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen levels)

Assist nurses and physicians with patient care and basic medical procedures

Perform patient intake, room preparation, and documentation

Maintain accurate charting using electronic health record (EHR) systems

Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient visits

Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients and families

Assist with personal hygiene, ambulation, and basic patient needs as required

Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols

Participate in ongoing training and skill development
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
-
Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician certificate preferred

CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification (if required by state)

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association

1+ year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred

Basic knowledge of EHR systems and medical terminology

Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-based environment

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience in a hospital or urgent care setting

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Familiarity with medical terminology
Working Conditions
This role is based in a hospital or medical facility setting. The position may require standing for extended periods and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
