About the Role

Aequor Tech is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Clinical / Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team in East Elmhurst, NY. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about providing direct patient support while working collaboratively with nurses and physicians.

This is a full-time role with a standard 40-hour workweek. Schedules may include day, evening, or weekend shifts depending on facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen levels)

  • Assist nurses and physicians with patient care and basic medical procedures

  • Perform patient intake, room preparation, and documentation

  • Maintain accurate charting using electronic health record (EHR) systems

  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient visits

  • Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients and families

  • Assist with personal hygiene, ambulation, and basic patient needs as required

  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols

  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician certificate preferred

  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification (if required by state)

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association

  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred

  • Basic knowledge of EHR systems and medical terminology

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-based environment

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience in a hospital or urgent care setting

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Working Conditions

This role is based in a hospital or medical facility setting. The position may require standing for extended periods and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
