VP of Finance

Qashier is seeking a VP of Finance to support our growth. We are passionate about transforming commerce, retail, and payments with data and technology.

This role will lead the finance function for Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. This role encompasses FP&A, financial management, and strategic finance, ensuring the company's robust growth and fiscal health.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Oversee all day-to-day accounting, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls, implement best practices across the above pillars, and lead and manage financial operations across a multi-country, multi-subsidiary setup.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and manage financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and decision-making. Conduct in-depth financial and operational performance analyses to identify trends and growth opportunities.
• Strategic Growth Initiatives: Identify opportunities to accelerate growth, enhance cash flow, and achieve EBITDA profitability targets.
• Performance Tracking & Analysis: Track key performance metrics, generate actionable insights for the leadership team, and support the seamless execution of strategic action plans.
• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Support and drive fundraising activities, maintain strong relationships with key investors and lead the preparation of investor materials.
• Accounting, Budgeting & Controls: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls, implementing best practices across these pillars.
• Budget Management: Establish and manage quarterly and annual budgets, driving the achievement of ambitious group financial targets.
• Team Leadership: Build, train, and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting the company's strategic goals.

What we look for in a candidate...

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of financial management experience, ideally in a high-growth technology startup environment (preferably Fintech or SaaS).
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Finance/Accounting or equivalent; ACCA, CPA, and CFA qualifications are a plus.
• Leadership & Business Partnering: Proven track record of partnering with C-suite leadership to drive strategic initiatives and deliver on ambitious goals.
• Fundraising Expertise: Demonstrated experience with successful fundraising activities is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Financial Controls, FP&A, and Corporate Strategy, with the ability to introduce best practices for process improvement.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to provide deep insights into key business drivers, supporting high-impact, high-ROI strategic decisions.
• Team Building: Proven ability to attract, hire, and retain top finance talent and develop a cohesive, high-performance team.
• Resilience: Strong drive, resilience, and relentlessness to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
