Sr. Merchandiser

Our client is a well-established international company in the home and lifestyle industry, currently expanding its Philippine operations. They are looking for a highly skilled Senior Merchandiser to play a key role in driving sourcing excellence, vendor management, and production execution.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced merchandising professional with a strong background in handicrafts (hardlines) who thrives in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and develop a diverse and reliable vendor base through strategic sourcing
• Prepare product development pricing sheets based on approved artworks
• Handle sample requests (Product Development, Pre-production, and replacement samples) and conduct quality checks aligned with approved specifications
• Identify and report potential product risks to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Negotiate pricing with vendors to achieve optimal cost and profitability
• Create and maintain order pricing sheets for product assortments
• Monitor and track orders throughout the full production cycle — from order release to shipment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the handicraft industry (hardlines/softlines)
• Strong background in vendor sourcing and supplier management
• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly dependable with strong work ethic and results-driven mindset
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
