Job Objective/s

The Financial Strategy Analyst supports the Corporate Finance Head in ensuring that financial models for projects under development are accurately prepared, analyzed for purposes of investment evaluation of the Senior Management Committee and EXECOM and/or Board of Directors. S/he shall also ensure that debt and equity financing arrangements are put in place/secured for all projects approved by the Board of Directors. S/he provides Management with timely and accurate reports for each company under the GBPC Group. The Financial Strategy Manager is also responsible for providing vital information for new projects and the like by providing the requisite financial analyses.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with Business Development to review investment opportunities and conduct due diligence and valuation of potential partnerships and investments. This includes gathering of inputs to be used in the analysis, providing feedback/report on the findings, and preparing valuations as part of the iterative process of developing the project.
  • Assists the Corporate Finance Head in performing financial due diligence for proposed acquisitions and/or projects under development.
  • Conducts financial valuations and investment return analyses to support decision making for investment opportunities. This includes preparation of financial models and sensitivity analyses to project future earnings and profit potential.
  • Assists the Corporate Finance Head in the fund raising requirements of MGP and its subsidiaries. This includes reviewing term sheets for the project in securing financing proposals, analyzing the various proposals received, and negotiating proposed terms with financial institutions.
  • Performs other related tasks to support requirements of internal customers such as preparation of the LTSS and LE reports.
  • Attends to other tasks/projects as assigned

Key Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in corporate finance, accounting, or in related fields.
  • Financial modelling experience and understanding of financial statements.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel), with particular emphasis on MS Excel
  • A good understanding of the principles of corporate finance, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a team-oriented and challenging fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Can work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig, City.
