About the job Cloud Engineer
The Primary technology support and will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Cloud infrastructure. Will oversee the health and performance of existing infrastructure and plan for the deployment of new solutions and services required by the organization
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in owning the overall network services portfolio (WAN, LAN, WLAN, etc.) to ensure maximum uptime for the Business, including the governing principals for network (data and voice) design and deployment
- Assist in Management of all projects requiring network resources and delivering per planned and agreed to dates including the analysis of technical needs, requirements, and state of the networks infrastructure design, integration, and operations
- Function as technical delivery oversight with strong consultative skills on multiple client engagements
- Operational support of technologies provided by Infrastructure including, but not limited to, resolution of incidents and fulfilment of service requests.
- Manage one or more technologies to ensure they are maintained, documented, monitored, and licensed.
- Contribute to the delivery of engineering projects. This may include gathering requirements, evaluating options, documenting a design, coordination, implementation, and knowledge transfer.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders on the capabilities of technologies provided by Infrastructure.
- Actively support the development of others through coaching, knowledge transfer, and by acting as an escalation point.
- Deployment of solutions across various cloud platforms.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network, server, storage, security, and performance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Amazon, Windows Server, Azure, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Automating and optimizing processes and workflows using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Partner with scrum teams to deliver software releases
- Maintain complete and comprehensive documentation
- Manage logging, monitoring and alerting systems
- Support incidents as they occur and work with teams on preventing future incidents
- Work closely with engineers across all teams in different parts of the world.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and experienced in managing and supporting Linux and Windows Servers
- Knowledgeable on Windows Server deployment, configuration, and administration.
- Shell scripting experience on Bash, PowerShell, and command line.
- Virtualization, Cloud Asset Management: VDI, VMware Technology (vSphere and Horizon), Azure/AWS
- Experience working with agile teams
- IT security; Data encryption at-rest/in-transit, patching, least-privilege
- Networking; VPNs, Transit Gateways, routing, DNS, firewalls
- GitOps and ITIL
- Transit Gateway, Gateway Load Balancer, VPN, Application/Network Load Balancer
- Microsoft Active Directory (Domain and forest architecture), Group Policies Objects (GPO) and Core infrastructure services including (but not limited to) DHCP, DNS, File & Print Services.
- Familiar with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and Agile principles.
- Training the engineers on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
- Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices.
- Office 365 Administration, In-tune, Defender
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- 4+ years Professional Experience
