About the Role

The Digital Media Planner is responsible for facilitating media planning and strategy while maintaining excellent client and supplier relationships.

This role requires someone who stays up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and can identify new opportunities and strategies to improve overall campaign performance and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

Campaign Briefing

  • Translate client objectives into actionable media strategies aligned with the overall marketing plan.
  • Collaborate with clients, ad operations, and internal stakeholders to understand campaign goals, target audience, budget, and timeline.

Media Planning and Strategy

  • Develop media plans that outline recommended media channels, flight dates, and budget allocation.
  • Evaluate various digital media channels and platforms to determine the most suitable options for reaching the target audience and achieving campaign objectives.
  • Optimize media budgets to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Provide guidance on media-specific requirements, formats, and recommendations for optimizing creative assets.
  • Confidently present media strategy and measurement plans to clients and internal stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collaborate with the ad operations team in crafting actionable insights for report creation, resulting in timely optimizations to maximize campaign performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on performance to identify campaign effectiveness and opportunities for future optimization.
  • Confidently present data and optimization strategies to clients and internal stakeholders, as needed.

Project Management and Relationship Building

  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign execution and timely delivery of campaign requirements.
  • Maintain open communication channels, address client concerns, and provide strategic guidance throughout the campaign lifecycle.

Ad Technology Management

  • Regularly contribute to media best practices, new executions, and campaign processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new media opportunities.
  • Continuously learn and evaluate innovative media approaches to enhance campaign strategies and help differentiate clients from competitors.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Expertise in paid media tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Tools, TikTok Ads, and similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with ad operations and data visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Tableau, and Looker Studio.
  • Excellent client-facing, project management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven success in managing large clients and high-budget campaigns.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or any related field is preferred but not required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in planning, buying, or related fields, or a proven track record in a similar position while working with a team in a similar or adjacent industry.
  • Experience working with paid media tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Tools, TikTok Ads, and similar platforms.
  • At least one digital certification related to media planning, such as Google Ads or Meta.
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and strongly interested in the advertising and media industry.
  • Eloquent and fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong and stable internet connection with clear audio output.
