About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Digital Media Manager to lead the Media team in developing strategy, media planning and buying, campaign implementation, and optimization. This role is responsible for helping drive campaign performance and profitability through effective service pricing, efficient delivery of media services, and strong collaboration with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
The ideal candidate stays up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and is able to identify new opportunities and strategies that improve overall media performance and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Profitability Management
- Drive the process of crafting digital media plans and strategies while directing the daily workflow of all paid campaigns.
- Analyze and improve departmental processes to increase team efficiency.
- Partner with key business unit leads to support better integration across agency units.
- Acquire or grow existing client business and/or develop and introduce new products or services to the current media offering.
Media Planning and Strategy
- Lead pitch processes and requirements for the Media department.
- Provide oversight and direction on strategy across all accounts and campaigns handled.
- Guide the translation of campaign briefs and objectives into achievable and relevant media plans and strategies.
- Ensure campaigns perform against business goals and financial targets, including cost reduction, sales, and new business acquisition.
- Confidently present media strategies and measurement plans to clients and internal stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collaborate with the Ad Operations team in crafting actionable insights for reports, enabling timely optimizations and improved campaign performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations on campaign performance to identify effectiveness and opportunities for future optimization.
- Present data, insights, and optimization strategies to clients and internal stakeholders when required.
Project Management & Relationship Building
- Partner with key business unit leads to strengthen integration across agency teams.
- Develop relationships and lead collaborations with external partners and publishers.
- Work closely with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign execution and delivery.
- Maintain open communication channels, address client concerns, and provide strategic guidance throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Reinforce team accountability in properly documenting cost estimates and client contracts.
Ad Technology Management
- Regularly contribute to media best practices, new executions, and campaign processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new media opportunities.
- Continuously learn and evaluate innovative media approaches to enhance campaign strategies and differentiate clients from competitors.
Leadership
- Recruit, train, motivate, and develop team members to ensure strong performance.
- Develop and implement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Set clear performance standards, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to support employee growth and improvement.
- Communicate effectively with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure alignment toward shared goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation and encourage team members to contribute new ideas and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or any related field is preferred but not required.
- At least 4 years of experience as a lead in media planning and buying.
- Experience working with paid media tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Tools, TikTok Ads, and similar platforms.
- Previous leadership or management experience is required.
- Strong solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and has a strong interest in the advertising and media industry.
- Eloquent and fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong expertise in paid media platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Tools, and TikTok Ads.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with key analytics and tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Excellent client management, project management, and presentation skills.
- Proven success in managing large clients and/or big-budget campaigns.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights and strategies.
- Experience in budget management, forecasting, and ROI optimization.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing funnels, customer journeys, and attribution models.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and identify new opportunities for growth.
Key Collaborations
This role will work closely with the Media team, Client Success team, Finance team, management stakeholders, assigned client partners, vendors, and suppliers.
