HR Business Partner (Medical Healthcare & Wellness) - Makati City

Employment type: Full-time, 6-month probationary

Work setup: Onsite at head office, with regular branch visits

A growing clinic and diagnostics network with approximately 100–150 employees across several branches is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who can take ownership of the people function end to end—partnering closely with leadership while ensuring that the day-to-day HR operation runs effectively.


This is a hands-on, self-sufficient HR role suited for a well-rounded HR generalist who is equally comfortable advising leaders and getting into the details of employee relations, recruitment, compliance, payroll coordination, performance management, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations, Discipline & Labor Compliance                                                  Manage employee relations cases from start to finish, including notices to explain, the twin-notice process, administrative hearings, and notices of decision.                          Ensure compliance with the Philippine Labor Code, DOLE issuances, regional wage orders, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and applicable DOH personnel requirements.           Prepare for and manage DOLE inspections and labor standards audits.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Manage the full recruitment cycle for clinical and key positions, from sourcing and screening through interviews, selection, and offers.
Partner with leadership on manpower planning and identify staffing gaps before they affect operations.
Manage internal hiring, transfers, and promotions for approved positions.
Develop practical recruitment approaches suited to a growing, multi-branch healthcare organization.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
Maintain salary bands and support management in keeping manpower costs within budget.
Oversee payroll inputs, timekeeping accuracy, benefits enrollment, and employee records.
Ensure 201 files and other HR documentation are complete, accurate, and up to date.
Maintain reliable HR data for manpower, compensation, and workforce reporting.

Performance, Onboarding & People Development
Run the performance management cycle in partnership with the management team.
Manage the probationary evaluation and regularization process, ensuring decisions are timely, documented, and well-supported.
Own and continuously improve the employee onboarding process.
Develop and maintain career pathing and employee development frameworks.

Culture, Engagement & Leadership Partnership
Partner with leadership in building a healthy and accountable workplace culture.
Gather and act on employee engagement feedback.
Lead practical engagement, recognition, and employee experience initiatives appropriate for a healthcare environment.

Coach and develop the HR Associate.
Serve as a trusted HR partner to the CEO and branch leaders on people decisions.

Qualifications Required

  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience as a well-rounded HR generalist.
    Direct experience handling employee relations, disciplinary cases, and the twin-notice process.
  • Strong practical understanding of DOLE compliance and disciplinary due process.
  • Experience advising or partnering with senior leaders, executives, or business owners on people decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean HR team and taking ownership without extensive supervision.

Technical Knowledge

Strong working knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code, DOLE issuances, and regional wage orders.

Working knowledge of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR requirements affecting employees.

Experience with payroll coordination, timekeeping, HR records, and 201 file management.

Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for manpower, compensation, and cost tracking.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Behavioral Science, Business, or a related field.
    Preferred
    Experience in healthcare, clinics, diagnostics, or another regulated service industry.
    Experience working in a small or lean HR team.
    Experience supporting multiple branches or sites.
    CHRP, CHRA, RPm, or an equivalent HR-related certification.
    Familiarity with EOS or a similar operating rhythm.
