HRIS Analyst
About the job HRIS Analyst
This role is critical in supporting ongoing system administration, business process enhancements, bug/fixes, and continuous improvement efforts across Workday modules such as Core HCM, Time & Absence, Benefits, Help, Compensation and/or Recruiting. The analyst will also contribute to in-flight initiatives including the implementation of Recruiting and Advanced Compensation, the optimization of global time off plans, the transformation of Workday Help, and the realignment of our security framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with SMEs to execute Workday configuration updates across Core HCM, Time & Absence, Benefits, Help, and Security.
- Document and implement configuration updates, eligibility rules, and condition logic for Time & Absence, Compensation, and other Workday changes.
- Collaborate with People Systems Insights SME to ensure configuration changes support accurate data reporting and downstream process alignment.
- Adhere to internal governance standards when making changes, including documentation, stakeholder sign-off, and change control protocols.
- Support continuous improvement by implementing approved enhancements and addressing system inefficiencies in partnership with Director of People Systems & Insights.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support by triaging and resolving complex Workday Help tickets related to configuration and system functionality.
- Identify themes and contribute to improvements in Help topic structure, routing logic, and intake workflows.
- Partner with SMEs and operational teams to ensure end-user issues are addressed and resolved in a timely, scalable manner.
- Support the execution of security role changes and reviews in collaboration with the Security SME and Director of People Systems.
- Maintain documentation of access and role assignments per governance standards.
- Assist in the implementation of security realignment initiatives across global business units.
- Configure and maintain Workday business processes that support core HR functions, ensuring scalable and globally consistent solutions.
- Maintain and update Time Off and Absence Plans, eligibility rules, accrual logic, and event triggers as needed to support local compliance.
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits to support system updates during Open Enrollment, balance resets, and other cyclical processes.
- Provide support during Workday projects to aid implementation and stabilization.
- Participate in testing, documentation, and rollout of enhancements and configuration updates in partnership with internal teams and Director of People Systems & Insights.
- Ensure all changes are delivered with consistency, accuracy, and adherence to enterprise configuration governance.
- Start: Immediate support needed for transformation and stabilization
- Duration: Initial contract focused on current priorities, with possible extension until a permanent hire is onboard.
Required Experience:
- Must have 1-5 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience in Core HCM and at least two additional modules such as Time & Absence, Benefits, Help, or Recruiting.
