Job Openings Outbound Sales Development Representative (UK/US)

About the job Outbound Sales Development Representative (UK/US)

About the role

Sales Development Representative (SDR) for outbound lead generation. You run a repeatable, high-volume outbound machine that produces qualified meetings every week. The sequence design, sending infrastructure, and QA framework are already built and maintained by the commercial/RevOps lead. Your job is to execute at volume, every day, and hit the number.

Key responsibilities

  • Cold calling: 50–70 dials a day into media and publishing, staffing and recruitment, and mid-market SaaS segments. Target buyers are CROs, VPs of Sales, Heads of Commercial, and RevOps Directors.
  • Sequence execution: Run pre-built cadences per segment (day 1 email, day 3 social touch, day 5 proof point, day 8 call and voicemail, day 12 asset, day 18 breakup). Identify underperforming elements and bring data-driven feedback.
  • Email at volume: Send 1,000+ emails daily through multi-mailbox, multi-domain setup in Instantly or Smartlead. Verify every address before send, monitor bounce rates, and flag issues immediately. Maintain bounce rate under 2%.
  • LinkedIn outreach: Comment on target posts, view profiles, send connection requests (blank by default), and send 2–3 sentence DMs after acceptance focused on their pain, not features.
  • Personalisation: Research and include one real, verifiable detail from the last 90 days on every first touch.
  • List hygiene: Weekly review of customers, live pipeline, do-not-contact lists, unsubscribes, and 90-day recycle rule using the provided suppression process.
  • Hot lane: Call anyone requesting a data asset within 15 minutes during business hours. Speed is measured and non-negotiable.
  • Booking and handoff: Move positive responses into closers' calendars, tagged by source and variant. Booked means calendar-accepted, right title, target account.
  • Weekly reporting: Track dials, connects, sends, delivered, positive reply rate, meetings booked, meetings held, and bounce rate. Results roll into team scoreboard reviewed every Monday.
  • QA gate: For three small, tight-knit buyer segments, sendables and call lists go past the commercial lead before shipping. Once track record is built, move to independent running of the high-volume fourth segment.

About you

  • You have cold called at volume into UK, EU, or US B2B and can tell your connect-to-meeting rate without checking.
  • Spoken English that is clear and easy to follow for UK, US, and EU buyers on the phone. Phone clarity and pace are essential.
  • Native or near-native written English (British English for UK/EU-facing copy). You will work inside strict tone guidelines and banned phrases.
  • Experience running multi-touch sequences (email, social, phone) day to day. You don't need to have architected one, but you need to understand why each touch exists.
  • Comfortable working inside high-volume email tooling (Instantly or Smartlead) and know what healthy deliverability looks like day to day.
  • GDPR-aware. UK and EU prospects require opt-out handling and data provenance awareness in your daily work.
  • Comfortable working inside a scoreboard you cannot hide from.
  • Nice to have: Track record in tech-sector outbound with strong, consistent dialer performance and disciplined, activity-driven approach to booking. Sports, sponsorship, or media exposure. Experience with Clay or HubSpot.

About the business

We are a B2B data intelligence platform. We sell signals — which companies are hiring, spending, moving people, warming up as buyers — to commercial teams tired of reacting to what is already public. Customers include large media and agency groups. We're building outbound in-house rather than paying an agency.
