Job Description of RAN RIC/NOC engineer in Sydney and Tasmania :
Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Computer science/ Electronic Engineering
Australian Citizen with full work rights
NV1 clearance desirable
Minimum experience 5 years in a technical environment.
Mandatory skills and attributes: (Technical, strong communications skills, regional knowledge, IT, NOC systems and procedures,).
Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook).
2-3 years commercial experience in a Network Operations Centre, CSP/ISP environment preferred
Knowledge of routers and switches.
Knowledge of layer data communications protocols.
Ability to verify that switches and routers as well as their configured network services and protocols, operate as intended within a given network specification.
Must have the ability to trouble shoot network problems effectively in a network operations environment.
Ability to log and troubleshoot core signalling (HLR, HSS), SIM authentication, Call Flow, Trace a fault from Customer Equipment to Core etc.
Manage the provisioning/deprovisioning of SIMs
L1, L2 and L3 experience with Nokia preferred. Private LTE experience, will be an add-on.
Good understanding of Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) Dashboard and Helpdesk Portal preferred
Should be flexible to work from 8 to 12hours (shifts) during weekdays
Ability to debug, co-ordinate, troubleshoot and debug issues as per the SLAs agreed.
Will be part of the group for resolving Private 4G/5G requests / issues
Will be Responsible for L2 and L3 activities and Managing resolution and co-ordination between Field Onshore Engineer, Customer Service Operations team and the Vendor (Nokia)
Thorough understanding of Incident and Problem Management, Change and Configuration Management and Service Level Management
Be able to solve technical problems identified in the network.
Maintain a broad knowledge of all products, services and NOC procedures.
Be able to support the network on a high technical level.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
Excellent organizational, multi - tasking, prioritizing and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
