About the job SAP Basis

" Management and administration of Data & Analytics platforms including system administration, backup, recovery, application deployments, performance monitoring, and maintenance of multiple and complex environments involving Several SAP Components: SAP Solution Manager, Data Services 4.X, HANA 2.X,and AWS, HANA sideCar (particularly Power BI)

Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.

Ensuring backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, Database mirroring, Replication, and High Availability strategies for SAP HANA environments are implemented and maintained.

Linux troubleshooting, maintenance and patching

Platform related Incident and problem management including documentation and Root Cause Analysis

Perform complex problem resolution of notified client service difficulties

Manage Transports through the SAP landscapes (ChaRm)

Provide SAP Basis administration services to external and internal clients

Undertake system performance analysis of operational client environments

Ensure SAP data backups are performed according to the schedule

Data restoration from backup media is performed to ensure recoverability

To conduct disaster Recovery (DR) and patching support

Change Management

S/4HANA (preferred) or ECC experience

SAP and AWS Certified preferable

Average experience in Solution Manager (SolMan) an advantage

Integration experience with some of the non-SAP environments

Coordinating with SAP, Infrastructure, SAP Delivery Teams

Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Hands-on working knowledge on SAP ECC, SAP PI/PO, Enterprise Portal, Gateway, FIORI, S4HANA installation hosted on AWS, on-prem

Solution manager - change management, focus build, monitoring configuration

Experience managing systems, component updates & patching, Kernel update, and EWA report generation

ECC and SAP S/4 - Core Basis - all tasks: RFC maintenance/creation, system copy, client copy, transport path/management, certificate update, performance tuning, stop start a cluster system.

Manage environment variation within agreed tolerances

Manage all technical responsibilities related to upgrades, support packs, and OSS note applications

Assist functional system analysts

Performance Tuning using appropriate monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Providing proactive guidance and mentoring to the other BASIS members in the team

Ability to work in a 24X7 support (oncall based support) environment "
