Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Department of Corrections

Overview

We are seeking skilled and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide high‑quality patient care within a Department of Corrections setting. This contract role offers consistent scheduling, a supportive clinical environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a vulnerable population.

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates must have 1+ year of experience in ANY of the following areas:

• Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
• Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)

Required Licenses & Certifications

All candidates must hold ALL of the following:

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Active license/permit in the State of Texas
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) – Current certification
• IV Therapy Certification
  • If you are not currently certified, you must be willing to obtain this certification.
