Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine (Veteran Evaluations)

Schedule: Flexible — 4‑hour half days or 8‑hour full days Hours: Locum, approx. 10 hours/week Setting: Private office (provider must have their own office within a 50‑mile radius of home address) Travel: Opportunity for private providers to take on VES patients

Overview

Join our client in delivering essential healthcare services to Veterans. As a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine, you will conduct interview‑based assessments and evaluations that support Veteran disability claims and health documentation. This role offers flexible scheduling, meaningful impact, and the opportunity to serve those who have served our nation.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher
• 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Internal Medicine
  • Family Practice
  • Orthopedic Surgery
• Valid American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• Preferred: Provider has their own office (required for VES patient evaluations)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments
• Conduct primarily interview‑based evaluations with some physical assessments
• Complete all evaluations in the provider portal
• Submit Reporting/DBQs within 48 hours of exam completion
• Complete follow‑up administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions

Schedule & Shift Details

• Option to work half days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours)
• Follow‑up administrative work required regularly

Travel Requirement

• Provider must have their own office
• Must be located within a 50‑mile radius of their home address
