Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Contract Assignment
Location: Torrance, CA Pay: $2,400 per week Contract Length: 8–13 weeks with potential extension
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to support our partner facility in Torrance, California. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in high‑acuity environments and are committed to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond to changes promptly
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and support physicians during cesarean sections
- Administer medications and manage epidural procedures per protocol
- Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn health
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
- Uphold all safety, regulatory, and infection‑control standards
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS and ACLS (NRP and AWHONN preferred)
- Strong communication, critical‑thinking, and patient‑support skills
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts consistently throughout the contract
