Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP)
Location: Sacramento, CA | Full-Time or Part-Time | Compensation: $162,800 $211,640/year

A respected community-based healthcare organization in Sacramento is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its expanding team. The role is based within an integrated behavioral health and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, supporting a diverse patient population with mental health and substance use needs.

Position Highlights:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief therapeutic interventions

  • Support patients engaged in MAT and broader behavioral health services

  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and clinical meetings

  • Complete timely documentation and support compliance with clinical policies

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted California license as a PA or NP

  • Board certified (NPs may be 103, 104, or psych-certified)

  • Experience in psychiatric care is required: either via formal certification, post-grad residency, or 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Current DEA registration and BLS certification

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with underserved and culturally diverse populations

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and productivity standards in an outpatient setting
