Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP)
Location: Sacramento, CA | Full-Time or Part-Time | Compensation: $162,800 $211,640/year
A respected community-based healthcare organization in Sacramento is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its expanding team. The role is based within an integrated behavioral health and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, supporting a diverse patient population with mental health and substance use needs.

Position Highlights:

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief therapeutic interventions

Support patients engaged in MAT and broader behavioral health services
-
Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and clinical meetings
-
Complete timely documentation and support compliance with clinical policies
Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted California license as a PA or NP
-
Board certified (NPs may be 103, 104, or psych-certified)

Experience in psychiatric care is required: either via formal certification, post-grad residency, or 2+ years of relevant experience

Current DEA registration and BLS certification

Strong communication skills and comfort working with underserved and culturally diverse populations

Familiarity with EMR systems and productivity standards in an outpatient setting
