POSITION DETAILS

As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work one on one with children with autism spectrum disorder, providing ABA therapy, whether it be from a patient's home, school, or in the community.

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will:

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community environments
  • Follow an individualized treatment plan tailormade by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address and improve deficits
  • Implement behavior plans created by the BCBA
  • Some of the areas you will address with your client may include language acquisition, functional communication training, social skills training, daily living skills, decreasing maladaptive behaviors, community safety skills, toilet training, executive function training
  • Collect data through observation and submit detailed session notes
  • Participate in training and team meetings
  • Collaborate with supervisors and peers
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with the client and their families


REQUIREMENTS

  • One year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass an FBI/ DOJ clearance and background check
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Desire to work with young children with behavioral challenges
  • Experience with and must be comfortable playing with children
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desire for continued learning opportunities and a willingness to embrace instruction and feedback
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude with the client and their families
  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish highly preferred
