Airfreight Specialist - Air & Ocean

Our client is seeking a skilled professional with a solid understanding of Airfreight operations to take ownership of this business segment. The successful candidate will manage tasks such as airline communication, rate and booking requests, customs clearance coordination, and customer interaction. This position is part of a newly established department, offering the opportunity to take full responsibility for the Airfreight product.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with airlines.
• Oversee IATA project development and execution.
• Manage booking and rate negotiations with airlines.
• Coordinate communication with customers and partner offices.
• Handle clearance and trucking requests.
• Operate and manage all relevant activities in the Cargowise system.
• Prepare and issue documentation aligned with customer requirements.
• Generate and manage invoices in line with existing agreements.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Proven work experience in Airfreight, specifically within the Air & Ocean (A&O) segment.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with Export/Import processes for both Ocean and Airfreight.
• Education: University degree.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English.
• Personal Attributes: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
