IT Project Manager
About the job IT Project Manager
Our client is a company expanding greatly in the energy market. It is one of the largest methanol producers in the world and works on EPC projects in various parts of the world.
Responsibilities:
- Managing one or more simultaneous projects involving areas such as software development, system integrations, cloud solutions, data analytics platforms, or enterprise application enhancements, ranging from local to global scope.
- Delivering projects on time, on budget, and on scope, meeting sponsor and customer requirements.
- Establishing and coordinating relationships with project stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Capturing and managing risks, issues, and dependencies throughout project planning and execution.
- Defining and documenting project scope, objectives, timelines, and budget.
- Preparing and maintaining up-to-date project plans and budget forecasts while monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle.
- Preparing and leading project meetings and Steering Committees, including creating agendas and scheduling.
- Managing third-party vendor project engagements, including preparing Statements of Work (SOW).
- Ensuring proper handover to running teams and obtaining stakeholder sign-off before project closure.
- Setting up and managing project collaboration sites like SharePoint, Microsoft Projects, and Teams while adhering to the IT innovation framework.
Requirements:
- Professional fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 4 years of experience in IT project management on mid-to-large-scale projects, especially digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience delivering multiple simultaneous projects of varying sizes and complexities across the entire lifecycle.
- Ability to effectively present to senior stakeholders and end-users to foster success.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Capability to identify quick wins and minimize risks and uncertainty.
- Familiarity with customer/supplier environments.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and MS Office. Knowledge of Microsoft Projects and Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with a proactive and autonomous work style.
- Availability to travel up to 20% of the year.
