IT Manager

Our client is a company expanding greatly in the energy market. It is one of the largest methanol producers in the world and works on EPC projects in various parts of the world.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to support business decisions.
• Ensure seamless integration of technology components to meet business needs, maximize capabilities, and stay updated on new features and competitor solutions.
• Continuously analyze processes, technologies, and vendors to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses for necessary upgrades and monitor vendors to ensure optimal service and value.
• Develop a training plan for employees to use software and hardware effectively, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and maintain data backups in collaboration with IT Security teams.
• Ensure compliance of IT activities with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
• Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role for 5+ years.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
• Expertise in data center management and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and installation.
• Ability to manage personnel effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• Fluent in English (mandatory) and Portuguese (preferable).
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Availability to travel 15%-20% of the year.
