Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Pavement Engineer to lead and manage pavement engineering projects with a focus on pavement management systems (PMS). The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in both empirical and mechanistic-empirical pavement design. Key responsibilities include overseeing pavement evaluations, preparing detailed technical reports, and guiding decision-making processes through the development of deterioration models and decision trees, all while contributing to departmental growth and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Project Management: Lead and manage pavement engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelines.
  • Pavement Design: Develop both empirical and mechanistic-empirical pavement designs for various pavement types and conditions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
  • Pavement Management Systems (PMS): Utilize expertise in PMS to develop, calibrate, and implement pavement deterioration models and decision trees.
  • Data Interpretation: Conduct and interpret data from destructive and non-destructive testing methods such as FWD (Falling Weight Deflectometer), GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar), Friction Tester, and LCMS-2. Provide training to junior engineers on equipment use and data interpretation.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and bids that clearly outline project methodologies, results, and recommendations.
