Area Distribution Manager

Job brief

Area Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing product distribution within a specific region to ensure sales targets are met, operational efficiency is achieved, and customer satisfaction is maintained. This role plays a crucial part in managing distribution networks, monitoring stock levels, ensuring smooth delivery operations, and implementing sales strategies within the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Distribution Management : Ensure timely availability of products at distribution points and retail outlets, oversee shipping and logistics arrangements to meet schedules, ensure product quality is maintained throughout the distribution process
• Stock and Inventory Management : Monitor stock levels at warehouses and distribution points to prevent shortages or overstocking, coordinate with the warehouse & logistic team for demand planning
• Sales Target Achievement : Lead sales team to achieve regional sales targets, identify new market opportunities and areas for distribution expansion, build and maintain good relationships with agents and other external partners to boost sales performance
• Analysis and Reporting: Analyze distribution and sales performance, and develop improvement plans as needed. Prepare regular reports for management on area and distribution performance
• Compliance and Operational Processes: Ensure all distribution processes comply with company policies and government regulations. Maintain safety, security, and ethical standards in operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or area management
• Proven experience in managing teams and distributor relationships is preferred
• Strong managerial and leadership skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
• Valid driving license (if required).
