Position Summary:

  • The Electrical Drafter is responsible for developing detailed electrical drawings and documentation to support EPCM projects such as residential housing, fuel storage tanks, and jetty facilities. The role involves preparing accurate layouts, wiring diagrams, and cable routing plans based on engineering input, while ensuring compliance with Indonesian (SNI) and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and update electrical drawings, including:

  • Housing projects: lighting, power distribution, earthing systems, and panel layouts.
  • Fuel storage tanks: grounding systems, pump motor wiring, explosion-proof installations, instrumentation wiring, and MCC layouts.
  • Jetty projects: electrical layouts for loading/unloading systems, lighting for marine facilities, grounding and earthing systems, and cable routing.
  • Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, termination drawings, and cable schedules.
  • Work with engineers to prepare load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with SNI, IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated designs.
  • Support preparation of material take-offs (MTOs), Bill of Quantities (BoQ), and equipment lists from drawings.
  • Review vendor/supplier drawings for conformance to project requirements.
  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain proper documentation control.
  • Provide drafting support during design reviews, client approvals, and construction phases.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 58 years of electrical drafting experience in EPC/EPCM companies.
  • Proven drafting experience in housing, fuel storage tanks, and jetty/marine infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent drafting software.
  • Knowledge of 3D tools (Revit MEP, BIM, Navisworks) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems design, grounding, and hazardous area classifications (Ex-proof).
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian (SNI) and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and create accurate drawings.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
