Position Summary:
- The Mechanical & Structural Drafter is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed mechanical and structural drawings to support EPCM projects, including residential housing, fuel storage tanks, and jetty infrastructure. The role requires translating engineering concepts into high-quality shop drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication details, while ensuring compliance with Indonesian (SNI) and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, update, and revise mechanical and structural drawings including:
- Housing projects: light steel structures, roof trusses, connections, HVAC layouts, and mechanical supports.
- Fuel storage tanks: shell and bottom plate layouts, nozzles, tank roof structures, stairways/platforms, piping supports, and foundation details.
- Jetty projects: structural steel layouts, conveyor and mechanical equipment supports, access bridges, pile caps, and mechanical utilities.
- Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, welding details, assembly drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Interpret mechanical and structural design calculations provided by engineers and translate into accurate drawings.
- Support preparation of material take-offs (MTOs), BoQs, and fabrication lists.
- Review vendor and fabrication shop drawings for alignment with project specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with SNI, ASME, AISC, API, and international standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, marine) to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Maintain drawing records and manage revisions in line with EPCM project control systems.
- Provide technical drafting guidance and support during design reviews, client meetings, and construction queries.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7-10 years of drafting experience in EPC/EPCM companies.
- Proven track record in mechanical and structural drafting for housing, fuel storage tanks, and jetty/marine projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of welding symbols, fabrication methods, and construction detailing.
- Good understanding of both mechanical systems and structural steel/concrete design.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering specifications and create clear, accurate drawings.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary EPCM teams.
