Position Summary:

  • The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, review, and execution of mechanical systems for EPCM projects such as conveyor systems, jetties, fuel storage tanks, and industrial workshops. The role requires expertise in bulk material handling, static and rotating equipment, and mechanical fabrication, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and engineering of conveyor systems including belt conveyors, feeders, stackers, chutes, and transfer towers.
  • Conduct calculations for power requirements, tension, pulley design, idler spacing, belt selection, and dust control.
  • Prepare and review mechanical GA drawings, layouts, fabrication drawings, and installation details.
  • Perform API 650 tank design checks (shell, roof, foundation loads, wind & seismic resistance).
  • Support jetty mechanical systems such as pumps, piping, loading arms, and conveyor integration.
  • Oversee mechanical works in industrial workshops, including cranes, HVAC, compressors, and utility systems.
  • Review vendor documents and fabrication shop drawings for compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with SNI, ASME, API, ISO, and CEMA standards for bulk material handling.
  • Provide engineering support during fabrication, site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure knowledge transfer within the mechanical team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10-15 years EPC/EPCM experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong background in conveyor systems, tanks, and mechanical systems for jetties/workshops.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Helix, Caesar II).
  • Knowledge of API 650, ASME, ISO, CEMA, and SNI standards.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
