Transport Manager

The Transport Manager oversees the operation of the Transport Section of Manila Shore Operations Department, to ensure the objectives and goals of the section are achieved, most especially the timeliness of the delivery of cargoes of clients and partners. The incumbent leads the team of transport coordinators, traffic officers, document controllers, and seal custodians.

1. Oversee the truck allocation and booking through coordination with the Transport Coordinator using LogiNext Application and ensure pickup and deliveries are on time.

2. Determine and assess third-party trucking services and recommend new providers (if needed) to boost and improve the transport performance.

3. Oversee the hustling operation in the port and terminal and ensure that all containers are transferred safely and efficiently at the designated area of storage.

4. Oversee and manage the port traffic by communicating with the Traffic Officer to ensure smooth flow and transit of trucks.

5. Troubleshoot and coordinate any traffic incidents or accidents involving third-party trucking providers.

6. Ensure compliance with all the regulatory requirements such as LTO registration, PPA permits and regulations, and other transport regulating bodies and agencies.

7. Monitor and coordinate any equipment and maintenance problems with the LBE Department.

8. Enforce safety policies and procedures in the terminal.

9. Identify potential risks that may occur involving the operation

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport and Traffic Management, Industrial Engineering or other related courses.
• Preferably with 7 or more years experience in trucking and transportation or other related fields.
• Leadership experience is a must.
• Familiarity with local geography, traffic conditions and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in route planning to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs.
• Willing to work onsite (Binondo, Manila)
