About the job Condition Based Maintenance Engineer
The Condition Base Maintenance Engineer is responsible for creating and developing the preventive
maintenance system of the ships on the companys monitoring tool - SERTICA. He/she will derive
the maintenance and monitoring process from the manufacturers manual and align to the ship
operating condition. Liaise with the Base Maintenance Engineer, Superintendents and Fleet
Managers for the improvement and revision of the ships maintenance system.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the PMS is ship specific. Monitor the maintenance and
breakdowns for developing procedures in improving the PMS. - Monitors forthcoming maintenance and assisting the
superintendent for work preparation by providing data required for
the maintenance. - Monitor breakdowns and preparing analytics to be used for
improving the ships PMS. - In charge of coordination and vetting of data integrity of inventories
with Superintendents for Vessel Master on the tools, consumable
and spare parts on board. - Coordinates with Superintendents for Vessel Master on the tools,
consumable and spare parts acquisition. - Accountable to minimize turnaround time and minimize delay due
to improper specifications on purchase requisition. - Timely update the Management, Fleet Managers on questionable
inventory and inventory lost. - Close coordination with Technical buyer from Supply Chain
Management - Ensure harmonious working relationship with Section Heads,
Technical Superintendents and timely submission of reports and
closing in SERTICA
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/College Degree related to Mechanical, Marine
Engineering industries - At least 1 to 2 years of related experience in creating
Preventive Maintenance System - Has basic to intermediate knowledge in the Marine/Power plant Industry
- Able to interpret data and reports.
- Knowledgeable in using basic tools, measuring tools
- Able to work with minimum supervision
