Job Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping: Must keep accurate records of fuel and oil quality and the maintenance of purification systems.
  • Educating crew: must educate crew members about purification and the importance of maintaining good quality on board the vessel.
  • Emergency response: must be prepared to respond to any emergencies that may occur on board the vessel regarding purifier works.
  • Overall, the primary goal of this role is to train the crew on board on how to maintain, repair and troubleshoot purifiers every vessels at port
  • Will supervise the crew of overhauling marine purifiers based in running hours
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Have a good understanding of marine purification systems and the technologies involved.
  • Have at least 5 years of extensive hands-on experience in Heavy fuel oil, Lube oil, Fuel oil, Diesel oil purifiers and technical experience in maintaining and repairing marine purifiers, including experience with different types of purifiers and components.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and the ability to use hand and power tools is essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues is also important for this role.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to diagnose and fix issues with marine purifiers.
