About the job Crane Technical Coordinator

The Crane Technical Coordinator supports the Vessel Fleet Department in providing fleet service that is both timely and cost-effective while adhering to company standards and legal requirements. It is also the incumbent's responsibility to assist the Crane Technical Manager on his day-to-day crane maintenance activities/tasks.

Provide day to day support in handling all aspects of crane maintenance & repair.

  • Ensures daily compliance for technician activities and filing of reports.
  • Weekly analysis of all jobs performed and keeps record of new 7 outstanding crane repairs.
  • Monitors crane in / out of service status, job follow up and spares parts procurement.
  • Assists with planning of all jobs as required to ensure efficient coordination with vessel schedules.
  • Required to assist with technical Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS or Sertica) requirements and monitoring of crane Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) tasks across the entire fleet.
  • Liaises with local service providers for medium to large scale projects.
  • Coordinates technical activities amongst technicians.
  • Supports in developing, executing and reviewing Crane Departmental Policies and Systems
  • Review service reports for accuracy and relevance.
  • Provides support by suggesting mitigating measures when issues are raised with regards to poor quality of spare parts.
  • Coordinating Ship Superintendent with regards to PMS, outstanding repair tasks, Job Order (JO) & Purchase Requisition (PR) creation and technician expenses.
