About the job Bunkering Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Fuel Supply Management: Oversee the bunkering operations, including the receipt, storage, and transfer of fuel to ships.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and industry regulations during bunkering activities.
- Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of fuel to meet industry standards.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of fuel transactions, including quantity, quality, and related documentation.
- Communication: Coordinate with ship captains, fuel suppliers, and relevant authorities to facilitate smooth bunkering operations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with bunkering activities.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of bachelor's degree in Management/Engineering/Marine or relevant field
- Has experience in bunkering operations an advantage
- Has knowledge about draft
- Has a knowledge about fuel computation
- Patience to understand safety precautions around his/her working area
- Can work with less supervision
- Can work under pressure
