Operations Territory Manager

 Job Description:

Based in the North of England. Reporting to the Regional Manager the role is responsible for managing a territory overseeing the operational aspects of the Retail's petrol filling stations. This position requires an experienced professional with a focus on driving operational excellence.

The role will be home based with a significant travel within the territory.

  • Lead and manage the operational activities of petrol filling stations within the territory, ensuring adherence to company standards, operational protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Supervise and support station managers and operational staff, providing guidance, coaching, and training as needed to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, enhance productivity, and reduce costs. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across all stations to improve overall efficiency.
  • Maintain close relationships with property agents and brokers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of fuel and other operational supplies. Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment processes to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Oversee maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades at petrol filling stations to ensure they are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with regulatory standards. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all petrol filling stations within the territory. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any potential hazards or non-compliance issues.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience at petrol filling stations, focusing on cleanliness, convenience, and service excellence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational matters within the territory. Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to senior management.
