Who you are:

You are a Delivery Manager who has proven experience in service delivery, account management and agile project management. You will have the skills to energize our teams to hit key project milestones and unearth greater opportunities in your portfolio. This is not your typical project manager position, we are looking for someone with a dynamic set of skills that can contribute to the wider form and function of our business.

We are looking for a Delivery Manager who has recent experience working in a consultancy business, who can apply their hand to account management. Critical to the success of this role is your ability to step in and oversee the BA components of the project as required.

What you will be doing:

Manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects and managed services to one or more customers within agreed constraints. Deliver exceptional customer experience by maintaining strong linkages between project work and business outcomes. Lead cross-functional teams towards clear objectives within constraints and create positive working environments through clear and empathetic communication. Ensure holistic customer delivery and experienced consultancy.

You will be involved in the following:

We are looking for a professional delivery manager who can provide immediate impact to the current projects we have in flight.

  • Perform end to end and day to day project management of a portfolio of customers/projects (statement of work through to closure and /or transition to support) as required;
  • Run project planning within agreed constraints (SoW). Planning encompasses creation of a PMP/Charter and project schedule (MS Project); Manage the impact of uncertainty (positive and negative risk) on project/client/organizational objectives through actionable, attributable and timebound planning;
  • Ensure efficient and effective operations and management of resources and proper implementation of management plans and policies.
  • Coordinating activities across all areas of Provokes operational services to ensure contracted commitments and SLA targets are met and delivered to the highest quality is met.
  • Facilitating the connection between the customer and Provokes delivery teams ensuring a clear mutual understanding of solution and delivery requirements.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key customer
  • stakeholders at all levels including internal stakeholders.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal partners, specifically capability leaders and other leaders/managers within Provoke;
  • Champion a one team, objectives focused approach within project teams.
  • Oversee the technical BA requirements such as creating user stories, gathering technical requirements and reporting back to the business.

What you need:

  • 3-4+ years delivery management experience delivering software projects and services; AND
  • Advanced applied knowledge of core project management competencies. Core competencies include:

o Project planning

o Risk and issue management

o Financial management

o Scope and change management

o Stakeholder management

  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications

Desirable:

  • 3-4+ years professional work experience, leadership experience
  • Bachelors degree qualification
  • Exposure to scrum, Kanban or XP
  • Agile experience would be highly regarded
