Role Overview

As a Technical Program Manager at Provoke Solutions, you will be responsible for managing complex projects for our customer. You will work closely with cross-functional teams at both Provoke and our customer to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products and features. Your ability to manage intricate projects, communicate effectively, and drive cross-functional alignment will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects for customer, ensuring alignment with product goals and timelines.

Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams at both Provoke and customer to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

Roadmap Development

    • Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps, ensuring clarity and alignment across all stakeholders.

Risk Management

    • Identify potential risks and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Communication

    • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders at both Provoke and our customer, including status reports, presentations, and other communications.

Process Improvement

    • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical Expertise

    • Utilize your technical background to contribute to product design discussions, technical decision-making, and problem-solving.

Technical Content Creation

    • Create technical documentation, guides, and other content to support product development, user education, and marketing efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work with customer stakeholders from Product Marketing Manager (PMM) level to Director level, ensuring alignment on project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, and fostering strong relationships to facilitate successful project outcomes.

Opportunity Identification

    • Identify opportunities for additional work within the customer account, including potential projects and services that align with both Provoke Solutions' capabilities and client's needs, and collaborate with business development teams to pursue these opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably within a product development or consulting environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to delivery.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Tools: Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, Slack).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Projects: Familiarity with Microsoft's product development processes and tools.
  • Certifications: PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications.
  • Technical Background: Experience as a software engineer or in a technical role is a plus.
