About the job Modern Workplace & Automation Consultant (M365 Specialist)
Hands-on. Client-facing. Architect-level delivery.
We are growing our Modern Workplace capability and are looking for a senior M365 professional who lives in the real world – someone who can think architecturally and still happily roll up their sleeves to solve the hard problems.
This is a role for a true modern workplace practitioner: deeply hands-on across the M365 ecosystem, fluent in Power Platform, comfortable owning governance and security at scale, excited by Copilot and AI, and confident working directly with customers as a trusted advisor.
You will operate at a senior, principal level – leading complex work, shaping solutions, and partnering with clients on their most important challenges. You will be one of the people customers rely on when the work is high-impact, high-trust, and high-complexity.
This role leads through expertise and example, influencing outcomes by doing the work. It sits where architecture becomes reality, where governance enables momentum, and where AI ambition must work in practice. It moves easily between shaping Modern Workplace strategy with senior leaders and rolling up sleeves in Entra, Purview, or Power Platform to make it real. It's for someone who thinks in patterns, not quick fixes, and is driven to build platforms that scale and endure.
On any given week, you might be:
- Designing tenant-wide standards for complex customer environments
- Leading architecture and delivery for M365, Power Platform, and Copilot initiatives
- Working directly with customers to shape their Modern Workplace roadmap
- Solving the hard problems others get stuck on – identity edge cases, governance gaps, cross-tenant complexity
- Building Power Apps and Power Automate flows that remove friction from real business processes
- Creating guardrails that let organisations move fast safely
- Turning Copilot from a cool idea into something genuinely useful and trusted
- Making sure AI surfaces the right data, to the right people, at the right time
- Automating away operational toil so teams can focus on higher-value work
- Acting as a technical authority on M365, Power Platform, and AI
- Pairing with other engineers and consultants to uplift capability through real delivery
- Establishing patterns, playbooks, and reference architectures that scale across customers
You won't just implement solutions. You'll shape how modern work is designed, governed, and delivered.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a senior Modern Workplace practitioner with depth and credibility to operate at a principal level in client environments. You will bring most of the following:
- 8 -12+ years working in Microsoft-centric environments, with several years at a senior or lead level across enterprise Microsoft 365 tenants
- Deep, hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365 and experience owning complex environments end-to-end
- Proven experience designing and enforcing tenant-wide standards covering identity, security, lifecycle management, and operational consistency
- Strong, real-world Power Platform experience, including building production-grade Power Apps and Power Automate solutions and implementing governance (environments, DLP, connectors, guardrails)
- Practical experience implementing Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, eDiscovery) and translating compliance requirements into usable technical controls
- Direct involvement in Copilot or AI readiness, deployment, or operationalisation within Microsoft 365, with sound judgement around risk and value
- A consulting mindset: able to build trust quickly with customers, explain complex concepts clearly, and lead through expertise rather than hierarchy
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Microsoft 365, Security, Power Platform, or AI are highly regarded, as is experience in consulting or managed services environments
This is a role for someone who wants to build, advise, and lead through expertise.
If you're at your best when you can both design the future and build it with your own hands, we'd love to talk.
