Case Cart Technician (Case Cart Mover)

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Type: local contract

The Case Cart Technician is responsible for the accurate assembly, transportation, and distribution of case carts containing surgical supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures. This role supports the operating room by ensuring all necessary items are delivered on time and in accordance with surgical schedules and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble case carts based on surgical pick lists and physician preference cards
• Transport case carts to and from the operating room, sterile processing, and storage areas
• Ensure carts are stocked with the correct instruments, supplies, and equipment for each procedure
• Verify accuracy and completeness of items prior to delivery
• Return used carts and supplies for decontamination and reprocessing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of case cart storage areas
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
• Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a hospital, central supply, or sterile processing environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and surgical supplies is an asset
• Ability to lift, push, and transport heavy carts (often 25–50+ lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
