Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced House Supervisor (RN) to provide leadership and operational oversight in a hospital setting. This role ensures safe patient care, manages patient flow and staffing, and leads emergency responses when senior leadership is not on site.

On-Call: Required Commitment
Shifts available:
0.7 FTE 2x8hr shifts/weekdays 4-12p. With a 12hr shift every other weekend 8a-12p
0.9 FTE 3x8hr shift/weekdays 4p-12a. With a 12hr shift every other weekend 8a-8p
0.7 FTE 2x8hr shift /overnight 12a-8a with a 12hr shift every other weekend 8p-8a
Key Responsibilities

Oversee hospital operations during shift coverage

Provide leadership and supervision to nursing and hospital staff

Respond to Codes and Rapid Responses

Lead Incident Command until Emergency Management arrives

Manage staffing, patient flow, and bed assignments

Round on all departments and oversee patient care delivery

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (EMTALA, Joint Commission, State DOH)

Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, infection control, case management, and ancillary departments

Support timely discharges and patient transfers
-
Handle escalations, complaints, and unusual occurrences
-
Initiate disciplinary actions in coordination with department managers

Participate in performance improvement initiatives

Support staff education, mentorship, and onboarding
-
Maintain fiscal responsibility for staffing and resources

Perform documentation and communicate operational issues appropriately
Required Qualifications
-
Active New Jersey RN license
Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing

BSN minimum required

Advanced Masters degree programs satisfy the BSN requirement (e.g., ADN to MSN)
Behavioral Health experience is a must

Minimum of four (4) years of recent clinical experience

Demonstrated leadership skills

Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations

Working knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with utilization review, case management, or discharge planning
