Patient Care Technician
Location: Middle Township, NJ
Type: Contract
Description:
The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team by delivering direct and indirect patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
Obtain and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation)
Support patient mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation
Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests
Assist with specimen collection (urine, stool) and basic point-of-care testing as directed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transport within the facility
Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or equivalent healthcare training program preferred
Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)
Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Physical ability to assist with patient lifting, turning, and mobility
