Position Overview
The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This role focuses on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. The RN also directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination, and effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians/providers, and support services.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary caregiver for an assigned patient population to support individualized outcomes

Provide effective direct patient care to a diverse, complex patient population as part of the interdisciplinary team

Expand and apply clinical knowledge and skills in alignment with evidence-based practice, nursing standards, and policies

Direct and oversee care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, coordination, and follow-through

Coordinate patient care and unit activities with nursing peers, physicians/providers, and support services to ensure safe, efficient care delivery
Required Qualifications

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License (NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License)

AHA BLS/CPR certification (required within 60 days of hire)

BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain within three (3) years of hire (applies to team members hired on/after Nov 2019)

Six (6)+ months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in a Nurse Residency Program

Days - 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
Evenings - 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm
Nights - 10:45 pm - 7:15 pm
