Location: Greater Chicago Metro Area (Remote/Hybrid) — on-site 2 days per week
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay: $30-$35 per hour
Overview
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for social media innovation and consumer engagement? We're seeking a Social Creative Strategist to help shape how iconic brands connect with their audiences through strategic social initiatives, partnership opportunities, and community-driven activations.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the social media landscape at a strategic level, excels at building and fostering brand love through tactical audience engagement, and thrives in coordinating cross-platform campaigns. You'll partner closely with social content creators and report to a senior social media leader, helping develop engagement and content strategies, sourcing partnership opportunities, and executing initiatives that drive meaningful consumer connections.
What You'll Do
Campaign Coordination & Execution (40%)

Coordinate and execute approved social media campaigns and community-driven initiatives across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook

Support initiatives such as surprise-and-delight programs, gifting/advocacy efforts, and brand/creator collaborations

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to ensure alignment with brand strategy and goals

Manage timelines and track deliverables for social campaigns
Opportunity Discovery & Partnership Coordination (30%)

Identify new opportunities for consumer engagement, including product gifting, surprise-and-delight initiatives, and creator partnerships

Support agile/reactive content production through social listening (e.g., mining comments, identifying category opportunities, trend-jacking, competitor monitoring)

Research, evaluate, and recommend potential brand and creator partnership opportunities
Strategy Development (30%)

Develop social media strategies for creative content, audience engagement, and platform optimization

Create recommendations for consumer engagement initiatives and platform opportunities

Partner on performance analytics and reporting with internal stakeholders to validate and evolve content and audience strategies

Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging formats, and trends to inform strategic direction
Qualifications

2+ years of experience in social media strategy and campaign execution

Experience in social strategy development beyond content creation

Background in community management and consumer engagement initiatives

Understanding of partnership coordination and creator collaboration

Strong knowledge of social platforms, trends, and strategic best practices

Experience with social media management tools

Excellent communication and project coordination skills

Strong analytical thinking and strategic planning abilities

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred

Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Working Conditions

Occasional evening/weekend work may be needed based on content or community needs

Up to 25% travel may be required for content capture, collaboration, or event coverage
