Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Hours: 36 hours weekly, day or night shift
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ICU RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in intensive care settings, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients in ICU/CCU settings
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamic data, and cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support treatments
- Operate and manage critical care equipment (e.g., ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors)
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, including emergency interventions and code situations
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support during critical illness
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care or ICU experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Previous travel/contract experience
- Experience with EPIC
