Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) - Mental Health Nurse

About the Role
Prosperity Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health team in Halifax, NS. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based mental health care to adults, with an emphasis on operational trauma, occupational health, and deployment-related care.

Duties: Intake, crisis interventions biopsychosocial assessment, individual therapy, medication monitoring.

Must use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths- Based, or Solution Focused Therapy Note: Resume must demonstrate experience and professional development related to these treatment modalities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND one of the following:
  • Post-graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing
  • CNA Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN)

OR Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (or equivalent)

Also open to BScN + Psychiatric Nursing diploma combination

• Minimum 3 years of mental health nursing experience within the last 5 years
• Experience in adult community mental health settings
• Strong skills in psychotherapy, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and crisis intervention
• Current RN license in Nova Scotia
• BLS or CPR/AED Level C (or willingness to obtain)
