EVS Technician

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Type: local contract, weekends 8:00-4:30 pm, 16 hours per week

Overview:
Ensures cleanliness and infection control throughout healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas
• Follow strict infection control and sanitation protocols
• Handle and dispose of biohazardous and medical waste safely
• Replenish supplies (gloves, paper products, sanitizers, etc.)
• Clean floors, carpets, and surfaces using proper equipment
• Respond to spills or emergency cleaning situations
• Maintain cleaning logs and documentation as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (often preferred)
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience (healthcare setting is a plus)
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
• Physical stamina (standing, bending, lifting, walking for long periods)

Work Environment:

• Hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, or surgical centers
