Senior Analyst, Investment Banking
The Senior Investment Banking Analyst role offers an opportunity to work on complex financial transactions while developing advanced analytical and technical skills in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. This position supports senior bankers in executing M&A transactions, equity and debt financings, and strategic advisory assignments across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling initiatives including DCF analysis, LBO models, merger consequences analysis, and comparable company/precedent transaction analyses
- Prepare comprehensive valuation analyses using multiple methodologies to support strategic recommendations
- Draft detailed pitch books, client presentations,and other transaction materials
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support business development initiatives and live deals
- Manage and mentor junior analysts while overseeing multiple workflow streams
- Develop and maintain client relationships alongside senior bankers
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage virtual data rooms
- Review and analyze financial statements, regulatory filings, and industry reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from top-tier university
- 2-3 years investment banking experience
- Superior financial modeling and valuation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and standard financial databases (Capital IQ, Bloomberg, FactSet)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Series 79 and 63 licenses required or must be obtained within specified timeframe
- Technology sector transaction experience preferred, but open to other sector coverage areas
