About the job Investment Banking Analyst 2/3 (Life Sciences/Biopharma) Middle Market
Our client, a presigious middle market investment bank, is actively seeking an Analyst 2/3 for their life-sciences team in NYC. This brand name investment bank offers a key role within an experienced team. No H1Bs, Stem-OPTs or other visas at this time. RIFs ok.
The successful candidate will support senior bankers in executing M&A and financing transactions across the life sciences sub-sector. This position provides direct exposure to CEO, CFO, and Board level contacts, along with significant responsibility and advancement opportunities.
Ideal candidates will have previous healthcare M&A investment banking experience at the Analyst level.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in client transactions, projects, and assignments
- Interact with clients, internal banking teams, and product teams
- Assist in preparing presentations and marketing materials (e.g., CIM, Management Presentations)
- Conduct valuation analyses and financial modeling of clients and targets
- Review business plans, conduct research, and analyze financial statements
- Manage due diligence processes, including virtual data room preparation and counterparty Q&A
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of investment banking experience, preferably in healthcare-M&A related transactions
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting
- BS or BA in finance or similar field with an exemplary academic record
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- High motivation, energy, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
