Our client, a presigious middle market investment bank, is actively seeking an Analyst 2/3 for their life-sciences / biopharma team in Boston. This brand name investment bank offers a key role within an experienced team. No H1Bs, Stem-OPTs or other visas at this time. RIFs ok.

The successful candidate will support senior bankers in executing M&A and financing transactions across the life sciences sub-sector. This position provides direct exposure to CEO, CFO, and Board level contacts, along with significant responsibility and advancement opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have previous life sciences and biopharma  investment banking experience at the Analyst level.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client transactions, projects, and assignments
  • Interact with clients, internal banking teams, and product teams
  • Assist in preparing presentations and marketing materials (e.g., CIM, Management Presentations)
  • Conduct valuation analyses and financial modeling of clients and targets
  • Review business plans, conduct research, and analyze financial statements
  • Manage due diligence processes, including virtual data room preparation and counterparty Q&A

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of investment banking experience, preferably in life sciences investment banking.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting
  • BS or BA in finance or similar field with an exemplary academic record
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • High motivation, energy, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
