The Role

As a member of the Software/Fintech M&A team, you will play a critical role in executing sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory engagements. This position offers significant responsibility and direct client exposure from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions from inception through closing
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, valuation modeling, and due diligence
  • Prepare marketing materials, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
  • Manage transaction processes including buyer/seller outreach, negotiations, and coordination with legal and accounting advisors
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with C-suite executives
  • Mentor and guide junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and thought leadership initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Transaction Experience: 2-3 closed software and/or fintech M&A transactions with demonstrated success
  • Industry Tenure: Minimum 1 year of relevant M&A experience, ideally within technology-focused investment banking or corporate development
  • Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and Excel proficiency
  • Analytical Capabilities: Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
  • Work Style: Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Availability: Immediate or near-term availability strongly preferred
