Job Description
Our client, a full-service investment bank with more than 125 years of history and a global platform spanning securities brokerage, trading, research, underwriting, and corporate advisory services, is seeking a Vice President 2 (VP2) to join their Investment Banking team, focused on Aerospace & Defense within the Diversified Industrials & Services group. This role can sit in New York, Baltimore, or Chicago.
This role suits a strategic thinker with a strong background in complex financial transactions and deep familiarity with the Aerospace & Defense landscape — a self-starter ready to work hard in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once. Experience leading sell-side M&A transactions is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of M&A, recapitalizations, and capital raises (debt and equity) transactions within Aerospace & Defense
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, managing relationships and delivering financial solutions
- Oversee the development of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and presentations
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Contribute to business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new client opportunities across the Aerospace & Defense sector
- Build sector expertise and represent the firm at industry events and client meetings
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently at the VP2 level with a proven transaction execution and client management track record
- Aerospace & Defense sector experience strongly preferred, with a demonstrated deal track record (strong preference for closed deals)

- Time Management: able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage expectations, and use firm resources efficiently

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Significant investment banking experience with an Aerospace & Defense M&A track record
- FINRA licenses required: SIE, Series 79, Series 63
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
