About the job After-Hours Clinical Support & Rostering Coordinator
We are seeking a reliable and clinically experienced After-Hours Clinical Support & Rostering Coordinator to provide essential support to staff outside of standard business hours. This role is responsible for answering urgent phone calls, providing clinical guidance, managing after-hours rostering, and ensuring smooth operations in client care.
Key Responsibilities:
-Answer and triage after-hours phone calls from staff regarding client care, incidents, and medication (PRN, insulin, etc.).
-Provide immediate clinical guidance within scope of practice, escalating to the On-Call Manager or Clinical Director when required.
-Manage after-hours rostering, including covering sick calls, no-shows, and urgent shift replacements.
-Accurately record and log incidents, maintain detailed after-hours handovers, and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
-Support staff with urgent queries, maintaining calm, professional, and effective communication at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
-Clinical background required; Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN) highly desirable, though other clinical experience will be considered.
-Strong understanding of PRN and insulin administration procedures.
-Experience in rostering and scheduling coordination.
-Excellent phone communication, documentation, and decision-making skills.
-Proficiency with phone systems, email, rostering software, and incident reporting tools.
